awards ceremony today translated into total madness during photo taking. no idea now many faceless photos i took hahaha. madness. true madness. and it is only in madness that we can find pure entertainment=)

speaking of which, i must say teo chee hean is extremely nice and down to earth. haha. got to meet him! and he is TALL. and i mean tall. like, TALL. yeap. turns out everyone's damn curious about what vision science is. including myself. =) we'll see in 3-4 years. must clarify though, i just want a basic science degree, and any major will do, seriously. and i do know what it is. roughly at least. =)

ok went to esplanade roof to chill (在屋顶唱着你的歌!) and drink. felt in the mood today. disclaimer, i DID NOT drink alot. at most will be one bottle. ok maybe one and half. but they were SMALL, GRADUAL sips. no one gets drunk on slow drinking. jevon, roy and desmond were RED. and xinghao was just drunk. haha.

got dragged into some dare thing with serene coz i was the only other girl there. extremely amusing. though the winner must be the card that dropped at a strategic time! hahaha.

oh and fireworks! pretty pretty fireworks! and bitter chocolate, black pepper chicken, stingray and alot of alcohol. i insist i didn't drink that much. actually i still feel like drinking. or maybe tt's the alcohol speaking. hmmm.

food and such

dinner at imperial palace was good and reasonably cheap, not bad. excellent recommendation there by hk. took photos with them all, then attempted to use infra-red. took forever. then talked more crap. and more and more. i am now the proud owner of a new black top that says smth mcbee (yay steph), white top from fox (mich-the-ever-practical), green gypsy skirt (yay bee and jix), madagasca cup (yay jix), madagasca magnet (yay bena) along with a mood butterfly which seems to think i am relaxed/strained/in love/quite relaxed. all at regular intervals.

anyway nus is extremely irritating. holding so many lousy camps all over the place. nothing better to do issit...

ironically, it turns out that only bena will be seeing me off because mich is in austria, and steph and lijia have the stupid nus whatever.

my memory

sihuan came over this afternoon, just to pass time. took a ride in her car for fun, and realised tt she IS extremely reckless. aka turning without braking. sat in the car to talk crap after the roller coaster ride. and somehow i just couldn't shake off this shadow that's been creeping up so often lately. soon i have to leave. i have to go, i want to go, but yet i can't bear to now.

yes and so today, as we were talking, this thought kept replaying in my head. leaving on a jet plane, don't know when i'll be back again. then read the letter. i would have my own separate set of 10 things. the cold h2O after training, the chocs before my game, the taozhe cd, the green penknife. and there's more, surely, that i know i will remember occasionally and sometimes laugh, sometimes sigh, sometimes cry. it's always the things that meant something to ourselves that we remember individually. and then there are those memories that shaped us, but that we try so hard to forget, and never manage to. like scars that will never fade.

yet now, i know that every goodbye i say to anyone and everyone may be the last time i see them for the next 4 years, or forever in fact. keeping in touch is tough especially when everyone's busy with their own thing, and though i always say i try, sometimes i just can't go on.

this might very well be the first goodbye said. sooner or later, more will come. and then it'll be over, i'll fly off, and the real friendship test begins. it's sad to goodbye. and it's so hard. so very hard.

salsa madness!

extremely eventful day. bought a laptop (ibm), signed the next 10 years of my life off to dsta, pondered over certain sparks flying between certain pple, salsa-ed, and taught ian and serene to salsa too!

speaking of salsa, i'm so rusty... haven't danced since end may i think. super out of touch, forgot en-thru-fleur and double spins liao. managed to do hammerlock and cblt, and learnt some combination spin cum en-thru-fleur cum double left-right spin then cross-body thing. at least tt's what i thought it was. hmmm.

ruifen is damn good now... dint get to see junwan or lijia dance though hmph. anyway saw luv too, kinda miss her lessons. esp since i'm so lousy now. ok must dance more...

burnt out

ok now that i'm slightly calmer after sleeping, will attempt to recap events from yest. basically, had dsta rehearsal thing (bleag) which dragged on for forever. got a call from a certain mr cheoh who apparently has nothing better to do in ns other than give out mcs. watched live first aid being performed on poor xinghao. watched initial D!!! talked crap at coffee bean till we got chased out. talked crap online some more. then played jay chou songs to sleep!=) yeah!

looking for housing

trying to find housing now, it's so ex to stay on campus though sigh. anyway need to start planning dinners with people now. meeting up with the rest on sunday for dunno what, been so busy with everything that i barely have time to think.

now i think that the people NOT going overseas are the lucky ones, at least they get to not have to think and plan so much. think i've been spoonfed too much over the past 19 years liao. hai...

ah lian food

crepes! or quoting wk who quotes philip: "ah lian food!" haha. food was good, though wk and philip were acting like little kids. unlike me and sy=) but i must admit the mushroom thing tt wk recommended was the best one haha. and philip's suggestion at mango was unexpectedly good too. yum!

feeling fat. and hand still hurts. may cancel tuition tml in liew of seeing another tie da. oh and there's initial D tml! yeah!

anyway, made it through dinner before realising that it might be the last time i'm meeting them. actually, it was only at the mrt that i suddenly thought of it again. such thoughts are just so depressing sometimes. sigh.

headed back to rj to learn the new mass dance today. quite cool dance, super different from the usual unbelievable type. but kinda hard too. though the poses are easy. judging from the regular vball practice heh heh.

yea, and recalling the description of hanging open mouths from the dancers when word spread that i was salsa-ing... i think the latest word would yield a few more gasps haha. at this rate i'll have to join cheerleading in univ to up the challenge. pointers jix?

anw, may be heading to jitterbugs with rf, jix and jw for salsa night on fri. if i've managed to catch up on sleep. and if everyone, and i mean EVERYONE goes. (ahem rf, skip zenbar la!)

wow that's alot. suddenly i wanna leave in feb instead. but leaving earlier is good too, zao qu zao hui. less slacking around, and won't be so rusty.

dell inspiron 700m (alot cheaper, probably in the region of 3,000

dell is more cost effective. BUT the problem is, fujitsu is lighter plus prettier! and it seems no one has anything bad to say about fujitsu, not like dell where comments vary from brilliant to lousy.

yay! 41 more days before i fly off (tentatively departure date is 15 july) i'll miss wawa and hokkien mee. and horfun. and char kuey tiao. and xiao long baos.
